The Early Years
Andy aged 13
Andy started playing the side drum in Wolverhampton Pipe Band when he was 7. He played with the Band until the age of 13 at carnivals, festivals & competitions. This gave Andy the really valuable experience of playing in front of large audiences at an early age which means he has never suffered with nerves throughout his life.
Andy moved on to the Drum Kit then and played with his local Schools Concert Band and several local Brass Bands. He also played with local Groups throughout his teenage years.
The Army Years
Andy Joined the Royal Engineers in 1981 at the age of 16 as a Junior Soldier. He was stationed at The Army Apprentices College Chepstow until the age of 18. During his time there he played with the Colleges Band.
In 1984 he joined the Royal Engineers Band in Germany as a Full Time Musician and learnt to play the Trumpet as his second instrument. Whilst with the Band he toured extensively around Europe and also played on several recording sessions the Band did. He also played with the band for the German TV stations equivalent of Young Musician of the Year and at the Royal Albert Hall for a 60th Anniversary Concert. He left the Army in 1987.

Adult Life
When Andy left the Army he started playing with local groups again.
In 1998 Andy moved to Wokingham to live and work. Being close to London he was able to start playing with some accomplished groups and artists. He soon started making contacts in the music industry and started playing sessions and depping on concerts. He started also jamming around the Jazz scene and made a lot of friends with the young up and coming stars of the Jazz & Session circuit.
Since then Andy's music career has never looked back he had Recording Deals playing with "Blind Drivers – AU – Add-Libb".
He has become an International Session Musician. Notably with Adam Ant, Gary Barlow, Atomic Kitten, Spice Girls, Kylie, Boyzone, Monica Maranjo, Marti Pellow, Chayanne, Rod Stewart, Alison Moyet, East 17, Darius, Liberty X, Will Young, Celine Dion, Harry Secombe, The Blow Monkeys, London Session Orchestra, BBC Session Orchestra, Pizza Express All Stars, TV & Radio work. Andy regularly plays for Artists on Tour or just one off concerts
Andy has still managed to also play with local groups right through out the years which he really enjoys. Andy Currently is playing with Black Cart.
